This category demonstrates the ability of a voice actor in the performance of a single character in a video game. The work is judged upon how well the voice actor defines a clear and compelling character, integrates the character within the world of the story, and interacts with other characters and/or circumstances. The elements of the entry must consist of a work sample from a production that has been made available to the public by a video game distribution or production company during the eligibility period. Entrants may submit a single excerpt or multiple excerpts edited together in a single file. The total length of the entry may not exceed three (3) minutes in duration. Entrants must identify their role (character) by name and visual description, e.g., “Princess Leia, woman in white gown.” 

*This category only judges a single character. If the entrant wishes to have multiple characters considered, each character must be submitted as a separate entry. (CHINESE LANGUAGE ONLY).

該獎項旨在表彰配音員在電子遊戲單一角色演繹方面的表現。評審標準包括：配音演員是否成功塑造了鮮明且引人入勝的角色，是否將角色自然融入故事世界，以及與其它角色或情境的互動表現如何。參賽作品必須選自電子遊戲發行商或製作公司在參評資格期內向公眾發布的作品。參賽者可提交單一片段，或將多個片段剪輯合併為一個文件提交。參賽作品總時長不得超過三（3）分鐘。參賽者須註明所飾角色（人物）的名稱及外表特徵描述（例如：「萊婭公主，身穿白袍的女性」）。

The audiobook must have initially been made available to the public during the eligibility period. Entrants may submit an unedited segment of the audiobook up to but not exceeding 5 MINUTES  in duration. (Only Chinese-language submissions are accepted.)

NON-FICTION: Non-fiction is content whose creator, in good faith, assumes responsibility for the truth and accuracy of the events, people, or information presented. Nonfiction includes all kinds of audiobooks biographies, histories, memoirs, how-to books, self-help, books on business, even books on writing. This category is limited to those NON-FICTION audiobook productions where voice acting (narration) is a primary communication technique. The audiobook must have initially been made available to the public during the eligibility period.  Entrants must identify their character by name, time code, and first phrase or sentence, e.g., “Officer Brown, 22 seconds, ‘He thought he would be safe hiding behind the trees.’” Entrants may submit an unedited segment of the audiobook up to but not exceeding 5 minutes in duration. (Only Chinese-language submissions are accepted.)

Outstanding Audiobook Narration – Self-Help & Wellness – Chinese Language – Best Voiceover

Books in the Self-Help and Wellness nonfiction genre focus on achieving goals through one’s own effort and resources. These works may address self-guided improvement in areas such as financial well-being, intellectual growth, emotional health, or personal self-worth. They may also discuss support groups, including how to find them and what role they play.

Books in this genre may focus on the health and function of the human body, exercise, and practices that support overall wellness and strength. These works may discuss bodily function, lifestyle practices, nutrition, medicines, and factors that affect health, as well as potential health concerns and their causes. Books in this genre are often written by health professionals such as doctors, social workers, and psychotherapists.

This category is limited to Self-Help & Wellness audiobook productions in which voice narration is the primary communication technique. The audiobook must have first been made available to the public during the eligibility period.

Entrants may submit an unedited segment of the audiobook up to 5 minutes in duration.

PROMOS are defined as works advertising media programming, such as TV shows, radio shows, webisodes, theatrical and other live events, where time and/or date may be a key element of the ad. COMMERCIAL is defined as the advertising of product or service categories, e.g., auto, retail, pharmaceuticals, food, financial services, etc. The elements of the Demo may consist of both work for hire, as well as “spec work”, where “spec” refers to work produced for demonstration purposes only. PROMO work samples ARE NOT ELIGIBLE in this category. PROMO is defined as promoting media programming (TV, radio, web theatrical, live events), where the time and/or date of the programming may be a key element of the ad. Entrants may submit a full or edited segment of the Demo up to but not exceeding two (2) minutes in duration. (CHINESE LANGUAGE ONLY)

In most cases, E-Learning refers to course or program material delivered completely online The elements of the Demo may consist of both actual work for hire as well as “spec work” where “spec” refers to work produced for demonstration purposes only. Entrants may submit a single work or multiple excerpts. The Demo should not exceed three (3) minutes in duration.  (CHINESE LANGUAGE ONLY).

Dubbing

This category recognizes voice actors who provide dubbing for a motion picture character by replacing dialogue as a means of translating a film, originally recorded in one language, into a different language, and where the added language (translation) of the original dialogue is carefully matched to the lip movements of the actors in the film. Dubbed sound tracks rarely equal the artistic quality of original language sound track, but the quality of both acting and lip synch will be considered as the major components of the overall performance.   Entrants must identify their character by name, time code, and first phrase or sentence, e.g., “Denzel Washington, 22 seconds, ‘He thought he would be safe hiding behind the trees.’” Entrants may submit an unedited scene from the work not exceeding 5 minutes in duration. The quality of both acting and lip synch will be considered as the major components of the overall performance. Entrants may submit an unedited scene from the work not exceeding 5 minutes in duration. The works in this category may include subtitles, but it is not a requirement. (ONLY THE CHINESE LANGUAGE IS ACCEPTED IN THIS CATEGORY).

Mobile Apps

This category is limited to a single work sample (work for hire) where the voiceover serves the purposes of a Mobile App experience, and where the Mobile App has been publicly distributed within the eligibility period. The entrant must submit a video demonstrating the use of the app, where the audio is clearly heard and the jurors can see clearly how the voice enlivens and/or aids the functionality of the app. It is the voice work that is judged, not the demonstration video. Entry should not exceed three (3) minutes. (CHINESE LANGUAGE ONLY)

If a URL is used to access the app, the entrant must guarantee that there is no paywall or other impediment that would prevent the judges from easily accessing the app.

本類別僅限提交一件作品（受聘製作之作品），其配音須作為手機應用程式（Mobile App）使用體驗的一部分，且該應用程式必須已於參賽資格期間內公開發布。

Outstanding Spoken Word or Storytelling – Chinese Language – Best Performance

This category recognizes SPOKEN WORD as performances that focus on the aesthetics of word play, intonation and voice inflection. This is a catchall category which includes any kind of poetry, prose or storytelling recited aloud, including hip hop, jazz poetry, poetry slams and traditional poetry readings. It also includes comedy routines and acting monologues. The entry may be up to five (5)  minutes in length and may be entered as audio or video. Performances recorded before a live audience are permitted and encouraged. There are no restrictions as to when any of the original work was created or recorded. (ONLY CHINESE LANGUAGE ACCEPTED)
